A quiet, gallery-style website with immersive imagery

Pat Flanagan is a Melbourne sculptor who turns steel into functional, tactile objects. The work is physical and precise, and the brand needed to get out of its way.

Brand Identity, Web Design, Art Direction

Pat Flanagan is a Melbourne sculptor who turns steel into functional, tactile objects. The work is physical and precise, and the brand needed to get out of its way.

Approach

We designed a minimal, gallery-style brand and website built around the work itself: large, immersive imagery, restrained typography and room to breathe. Structure came first, so the site reads as clearly on a phone as it does on a studio monitor.

Outcome

The result is a quiet, confident presence that lets the material and craftsmanship speak: a site that feels less like a portfolio and more like walking through the studio.
